Nick Aldis Asks Former WWE Champion To Leave SmackDown
WWE SmackDown was set to begin with Drew McIntyre’s address to the North Carolina crowd, but they were instead treated to Cody Rhodes attacking the champion.
Cody then addressed the WWE Universe and had some strong words for McInyre after the Scottish Warrior eliminated Rhodes from the Royal Rumble, despite not being part of the match.
He was visibly irate at the start of the show and acted uncharacteristically when he attacked Drew, and it ended up costing him later in the night.
Nick Aldis kicks Cody Rhodes out of WWE SmackDown
SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, met with Rhodes backstage, who was being held back by security. Aldis was disappointed by Cody’s actions but stated that he understands that Rhodes wants to get back to being a World Champion.
He stated that Cody will be involved in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match next week but had to pay for his actions tonight as he was asked to leave the builidng by Aldis, and Cody obliged.
