New York Giants Star Confirms WWE Career Is An Option
Professional athletes pursuing WWE as a career is not unprecedented.
In the past, several stars from other sports have made the jump to professional wrestling; whether or not they succeeded is a topic for another day.
The latest sports personality who is hoping to jump on the bandwagon is New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo.
The 24-year-old appeared on Monday Night Raw last year and was even involved in a physical confrontation with one of the wrestlers.
During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Skattebo claimed that he was open to stepping inside the squared circle once his football career wrapped up.
There’s a chance. There’s a chance. I mean, I feel like I’m a pretty good actor, so there’s a chance there. There’s a chance on stream. There are a bunch of chances I feel like I can do something outside of football when I’m done playing. I’m not too sure where I’m going to go with that, but WWE is definitely an option.
He also recalled watching wrestling with his older sibling.
Growing up, I watched it, and I had an older brother who was bigger than me, so his reach was always longer, so I was never able to punch him.
What Happened When Cam Skattebo Attended A WWE Taping The Last Time?
Cam Skattebo made an appearance during the November 17 episode of WWE Raw, where he was seated ringside with a couple of his Giants teammates and comedian Andrew Schulz.
After The Judgment Day’s loss to the trio of John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Sheamus, the faction members got into an argument with the sports personalities and Schulz.
The segment ended with a bit of back-and-forth and then shoving, during which Skattebo pushed JD McDonagh to the ground.
