Earlier, she was confined to a subordinate part, contributing as a supporting character to the various storylines. But last year, things finally began to shift for her when WWE started pushing her into the limelight.

Speaking on a recent edition of Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, Maxxine Dupri confessed that she never thought she would ever win a singles title in WWE.
Maxxine stated that, given the stacked roster of talented women in WWE, getting the chance to have an Intercontinental Championship reign means a lot to her.
I never thought that I would have a singles title in WWE. Like, I just didn’t necessarily think that was my trajectory. And my goal was like I just want to be in cool storylines and work here as long as I possibly can and do good work.
So when I won a singles title, I seriously was like there is no way this is real and this is happening. And then it’s Madison Square Garden against Becky Lynch. Yeah. Like, just everything was so nuts.
Then he was my fiancé at the time, was there. My mom, my dad, like it was just so nuts. Yeah. And I’ve never felt.. I feel like because I’m still pretty green, like I sometimes can’t even feel or hear the crowd all the time.
And that was one of those nights where I could really feel the energy and I just came back and was just like, “Wow.” Like, what is my life? Like this is out of everyone in the locker room. Like we have a stacked women’s roster and they’re so talented that I legit was like, “There’s just no way that this is my life.” (From 30:01)
