Matt Riddle Accuses Huge WWE Star Of Leaking Locker Room Secrets

Matt Riddle accused WWE star of being a tattle tale.

Matt Riddle was once a standout star in WWE NXT. During his early rise in WWE, Riddle publicly stated multiple times that he would love to be the one to retire Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Riddle believed that their shared MMA backgrounds could make the match a blockbuster attraction.

However, Lesnar reportedly did not appreciate the comments and viewed them as arrogant and disrespectful. The two eventually came face-to-face backstage in Houston, Texas, before the Royal Rumble in 2020.

Speaking in a recent interview with R3, Riddle revealed that Lesnar confronted him during that backstage encounter and told him directly that he would never work with him.

When I got to a Royal Rumble, I was really excited to get in the ring. All sudden, I get a guy grabbed me by the back of the neck when I’m walking into the hall, and I turn around and it’s Brock Lesnar.

He pulls me in. He didn’t hurt me, and he just dragged me. It was a, ‘Hey, just want you to know we’ll never work, never get in the ring. Just keep my name out of your mouth.’

Riddle also revealed that he later shared the story with Kevin Owens. According to Riddle, Owens eventually passed the information along to wrestling media outlets.

“I went to the locker room, and I told, like, Kevin Owens, and then five minutes later, it’s on the Dirt Sheet. So if you ever wonder where news is going coming, bro, that guy just loves to spill beans.” [H/T Ringside News]
