Major WWE Championship Match Added To Elimination Chamber On RAW

WWE RAW made some major moves towards the Elimination Chamber later this month as two huge matches for the event in Chicago were announced on tonight’s show.

AJ Lee challenged Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship and will face The Man at the event. She announced the match on the opening segment of the show.

Later in the night, her husband, CM Punk, followed in her footsteps and made a championship match official for himself at the event in his hometown.

CM Punk to put his title on the line at WWE Elimination Chamber

Punk was scheduled for an in-ring interview with Michael Cole, but before he could appear for the segment, Finn Balor crashed the party. Balor made his claim for the World Heavyweight Championship.

He stated that while Punk beat Finn in front of his people in Northern Ireland, he would do the same to him in Chicago. He challenged Punk to a match for the title, but it was refused by Adam Pearce.

Pearce stated that he wouldn’t jeopardize the main event of WWE WrestleMania 42 and refused to make the match official. Punk then convinced the RAW General Manager to make the match for the Elimination Chamber, and he announced the same.
