Major AEW Star Out With Serious Injury

AEW

Matt Jackson looks to be set for a spell on the sidelines in AEW as a new report reveals that the star has suffered a partially torn bicep.

The Young Bucks were part of a storyline on Dynamite recently which saw them whisked away in ambulances following an attack by the Blackpool Combat Club. Matt Jackson wasn’t actually seen on camera but Nick Jackson was seen being accompanied by Hangman Adam Page to the hospital.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that Jackson suffered the injury in the AEW Trios Title match held on the March 15th Dynamite that also featured The Jericho Appreciation Society and The House of Black.

Dave Meltzer followed up by adding that from what he’s been told, Matt Jackson has opted against surgery:

“What I heard is that he opted to not get surgery, so he’s hopeful of being back quicker. Surgery you’re probably looking at seven months.

“The deal that they did on last week’s show with the ambulance and everything, we all thought it was this brilliant show-long storyline, and it worked, but the reason they did it was to cover for Matt being gone for a while.”

Later on Dynamite, Don Callis suggested that The Bucks could be gone for a few months so the attack by the BCC might well have been a way to write Matt Jackson off television for now.
