Liv Morgan Shares Heartbreaking Truth: “This Happened Just To F**k Me”
The current Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan shared a disheartening personal story from last year and also dropped the F word.
Liv Morgan is back on top of the RAW women’s division, as she defeated Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 to capture the Women’s World title. Liv had won this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match to earn the opportunity at Mania.
While Morgan is now healthy and back in action, she suffered a shoulder injury in June last year, which kept her out of action for over six months. Liv had to miss a lot of big events, including SummerSlam in her hometown of New Jersey.
Liv Morgan on how the injury was very hard for her
Speaking with the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, on What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Liv Morgan revealed how she took the injury last year very hard, despite being positive usually:
Look, honestly, the injury was very hard for me, like I took it really hard, I was very sad for a very long time. I’m like a…very much like, ‘everything happens for a reason’ type person, even if something happens that’s terrible. I’m like so optimistically delusional that I’m like, ‘no, this happened for my greater good.’ And maybe I don’t see it now but I know this happened for my greater good. My injury, I was like, ‘no, this happened just to f**k me.’ I was like, ‘no, this is not, this is not good,'”
Morgan further opened up on how she had to miss big events due to injury, like SummerSlam in her hometown, as well as Evolution:
So, I couldn’t wrap my head around it and I couldn’t accept it because I didn’t see what good was going to come from this or why this happened. I had to miss Evolution, I had to miss SummerSlam in my hometown. I didn’t what I was going to come back to as far as work, like I was going to be out for six months, like that is so unknown. I could come back and everything that I know could be different. And so, I was just sad and I just really didn’t know what to believe in if I didn’t believe that I was going to be okay at the end of the day.”
