Liv Morgan Praises Former WWE Rival
Liv Morgan had some very nice things to say about a former on-screen rival that played a big role in her WWE career.
When Liv Morgan became the Women’s World Champion at the King And Queen of The Ring PLE, she didn’t beat her main rival Rhea Ripley.
That’s because Ripley was out with an injury, she vacated the title and Becky Lynch won the gold. Morgan would go on to beat Lynch at the aforementioned PLE. After Morgan won the rematch, Lynch stepped away from WWE for a break since her contract expired.
A WWE comeback appears likely for Becky Lynch, but it’s not known if she will target the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, or perhaps go after somebody else.
Liv Morgan Credits Becky Lynch For Helping Women’s Wrestling Evolve
In an interview with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes Magazine, Liv Morgan praised the future WWE Hall of Famer Becky Lynch and her impact on the business as a whole.
“I think if Becky never comes back, I definitely think she is 100% a Hall of Famer. She has become a martyr for women’s wrestling and performance all around. She can do it all. She can deliver in the ring, she can deliver on the microphone. The crowd is compelled by her when she’s out there, not to mention what she stands for in women’s wrestling.
Her goal, I think, was to really evolve it and maximise women’s wrestling and really make women’s wrestling feel just as special and important as the men’s wrestling, and she did it all while being a fantastic brand-new mummy. But with all that, she’s still not as great as me. (laughs)”
Next up for Liv Morgan is the WWE Survivor Series WarGames PLE on Saturday, November 30th in Vancouver. Morgan will team up with WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, Ms Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, and Candice LeRae against the team of Rhea Ripley, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair, Naomi, and IYO SKY. Jade Cargill was injured on Smackdown last week, so she will be replaced in the match.
