LA Knight Winning Big At WWE Elimination Chamber Is “Not A Bad Idea”

LA Knight WWE

LA Knight could be a great choice to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber, according to a WWE Hall of Famer.

The Men’s Elimination Chamber Match at the Elimination Chamber PLE in Chicago on February 28th will feature legendary names alongside rising stars. The winner of that match will face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 42.

Randy Orton is a 14-time WWE Champion with a lot of experience in the Chamber, while Cody Rhodes is a former 2-time WWE Champion who has wrestled in 4 WrestleMania main event matches at the last 3 WrestleMania main events.

There’s also former US Champion LA Knight, former World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso, and two rising stars who were recently called up to the main roster: Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans.

The most popular name predicted to win the match will likely be Cody Rhodes due to his long history with McIntyre and being in the main event scene for the past three years. However, there may be another option that shocks people.

LA Knight Wouldn’t Be A Bad Idea, Even If It Is Short Term

During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray) spoke about how Cody Rhodes might be the favorite, but he also thinks LA Knight would be an option too, since he’s never been a World Champion in WWE.

“With the way things are now, ticket sales a little soft…enthusiasm a little down, you gotta go with your guaranteed heavy hitters. And Cody is one of the heaviest hitters. Even if it’s just for the kids, because the kids bring the adults, I think Cody coming out of the Chamber as the winner is the biggest headline they could have.

Sure, you could go shock and awe with somebody else winning in the Chamber. Sure, you can go LA Knight, sure you can go Randy Orton.”

“As a matter of fact, LA Knight winning the Chamber would probably shock people into watching Knight versus McIntyre just to see if they (WWE) finally pull the trigger on LA Knight.

As far as catching lightning in a bottle for short term interest, like holy s**t, are they really gonna do it? Are they really gonna pull the trigger on LA Knight? It’s not a bad idea…but it’s very short term.”

LA Knight recently stated that some of the stories about his frustrations with WWE are very real, so he’s not shying away from the fact that he’s yet to become a WWE Champion despite being very popular with the fans.
