Kurt Angle is under contract with WWE and nearing a return to television.

WWE legend Kurt Angle hasn’t featured on television for almost a year, but he’s now claimed he’s closing in on a return. Angle was most recently seen on the 30th-anniversary special of Monday Night Raw on January 23rd, 2023, where he appeared in a segment with D-X before being the special guest referee for The Street Profits vs. Imperium.

However, while at Steel City Comic Con, Angle confirmed he’ll be back with WWE for the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, but he won’t be wrestling.

“Yeah, I’ll talk all day and night, but I’m not going to wrestle. I’m 55 going on 80. WWE has utilized me. Last year, I did a segment in Pittsburgh where I had the milk truck in the arena and I sprayed down Chad Gable and Otis with milk. That was a remake of what I did against Steve Austin in 2001. They also had a birthday celebration for me.

I do certain events with them. I’m still signed with them, I have a contract with WWE. I’m sure they’re going to possibly use me for something at WrestleMania or Royal Rumble or something. They always come up with something. I’ll eventually do something crazy with WWE and I’m sure I will in the future.”

Kurt Angle Set For More Surgery

Speaking back in November, Kurt Angle revealed he’s due to undergo more surgery in 2024. The WWE Hall of Famer admitted that he’s got a “lot of motor skill problems” meaning he needs more work done on his neck.

Since retiring in 2019, Angle has had both of his knees replaced, and undergone back surgery as he tried to improve his quality of life.
