Kenny Omega Overcomes Brutal Test On AEW Dynamite In-Ring Return

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made his long-awaited return to Dynamite last week as he announced his intention of going after MJF’s World Championship.

He is one of three former World Champions who are gunning for the top prize in AEW, and was interrupted during his promo by a familiar foe, Don Callis and his family.

Callis challenged Kenny Omega to face the Walking Weapon, Josh Alexander in a match and the Cleaner accepted the challenge last week, but Don Callis instead made the match official for tonight.

Kenny Omega emerged victorious on his AEW in-ring return

Omega was jumped from behind as he made his entrance to the ring and Alexander began his assault even before the match began. The two wrestlers fought each other in a hard-hitting affair.

Josh Alexander had Kenny Omega beat on multiple occasions but the former World Champion fought out everytime things weren’t in his favor. Omega even drew Don Callis away from the commentator’s table as he attacked Alexander in front of him.

Callis returned after Josh earned the upper hand once again, but Omega turned things around in the ring. He hit him with a V-trigger and followed it up with a powerbomb and another V-trigger but Alexander kicked out. However, Kenny picked up the win shortly after as he followed that up with a One-Winged Angle on Josh Alexander.
