John Cena Teases Unique WWE Role: “I Might Crack The Code”
John Cena retired three months ago, leaving fans wondering about his whereabouts.
While Cena remains committed to his Hollywood career, he has been self-admittedly contributing to WWE as well. The 17-time World Champion admitted to working on a new role with the wrestling company, but did not give out the exact details.
During an appearance at MEGACon Orlando (via Kickin’ It With Keegan), he said that he was keeping his fingers crossed, hoping things worked out for the best.
I am working diligently to try to figure out my next path as a contributing, useful member of WWE I think I might crack the code, and I think we have something, and if the stars align and everybody signs off, I will be a whole lot more integrated in the system, and I’m very excited about the road ahead, and I’ll just cross my fingers that it works. Natalya Speaks About John Cena’s Respect For A WWE Producer’s Role
Natalya, who authored her new book, The Last Hart Beating, recently spoke about John Cena’s respect for the different roles that go into the production of WWE weekly shows.
Speaking on CTV News, the wrestling veteran spoke about John Cena attending Dungeon 2.0, where he interacted with her husband, TJ Wilson, noting his work as a producer.
Now TJ is a producer for WWE. He produces, you know, we’re with WWE, we’re on Netflix, we’re Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, their longest running episodic TV shows in history, and TJ produces weekly television on a global scale. So he loves what he does. He loves the talent that he works with.
Just last week, we had John Cena come to our ring. He came to our ring, and he was just like, it’s very cool, but he’s always just been in awe of what TJ does, and it was so nice to see that mutual gratitude paid back to TJ, because now he’s in this great point in his life where someone like John Cena is saying, ‘hey, this is awesome.’
