John Cena Acknowledges Roman Reigns – “Greatest Of All Time” (VIDEO)

John Cena has made it clear that Roman Reigns is the “greatest of all time.”

When it comes to being the top star in WWE, John Cena knows a lot about that. From 2005 to the mid-2010s, Cana was WWE’s top guy.

Cena won his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21 in 2005 and his last one, number 16, came at the 2017 Royal Rumble.

During Cena’s time in WWE in the 2010s especially, Roman Reigns was rising up the ranks to headline his first WrestleMania in 2015 and go on to main event many more shows over the last decade. Reigns and Cena wrestled in WWE several times, but they never had a WrestleMania match together.

Recently, Roman Reigns recently passed the three-year mark as the WWE Universal Champion. Reigns has only had one televised title defense in the last five months when he beat his cousin Jey Uso at SummerSlam thanks to Jimmy Uso turning on his brother.

John Cena is currently in India where he’s set to team with World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins against Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni at the Superstar Spectacle event in Hyderabad, India.

Sportskeeda asked Cena about Reigns and how he’s doing at Cena’s “successor” as the top star in WWE. Cena matter-of-factly acknowledged The Tribal Chief.

“In my perspective, I think Roman Reigns is the greatest of all time.”

John Cena Failed To Take Universal Title From Roman Reigns

The last time Roman Reigns wrestled John Cena was at SummerSlam 2021. Reigns picked up the win that night while Cena went away to focus on his acting career.

It will be interesting if there is any interaction between John Cena and Roman Reigns in the coming months. Reigns hasn’t been active on Smackdown over the last month, but Cena returned last week. Cena will be back next week on the September 15th edition of Smackdown and on every Smackdown through October as well.
