John Cena Tipped To Run For President By Ex-WWE Star
John Cena would be a great choice for becoming president of the United States, according to this former WWE star.
John Cena is a name that has become synonymous with pro-wrestling over the past two decades. Cena dominated in WWE during his tenure with the company and was its face for the majority of his run.
His popularity with WWE was unmistakable as fans from across the world knew about him. His celebrity status was elevated further when his Hollywood career took off in recent years, and he notably played the role of the superhero Peacemaker in the DC Extended Universe of superhero films based on the popular DC Comics.
Cena retired from wrestling at the tail end of 2025 and has since talked about working with WWE in a new behind-the-scenes role. He most recently was the host at WWE’s WrestleMania 42 event.
With this mainstream popularity, former WWE star Enzo Amore feels that Cena could be a great candidate to run for president of the United States.
Enzo Amore Thinks John Cena Should Be President Of The USA
John Cena’s character was all about Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. His superhero-like WWE character appealed to children from across the globe, and adults would enjoy his wrestling and rapping skills.
Even though Cena has said that he’d rather play a president on screen than actually become one, while promoting his film Heads of State in 2025, Former WWE star Enzo Amore thinks that Cena would be a great choice if he ever thinks of getting into politics. He talked about it in a recent interview with Inside the Ring.
Are we looking at the next President of the United States? I think he’d be stupid not to run for it. It’s a popularity contest, and I think he’s proven his point—he’s a very, very absolutely outstanding citizen who does the most to think things through in all situations and work well with others, because you can’t get to the top of the industry if you can’t work well with others.
Amore furthered his point by explaining how Cena has travelled the world and met with different cultures of people, and pointed out that he even speaks Chinese.
I need you guys to think about John Cena and the top of the company he sat on—the amount of opportunities to meet and speak with other people from other nations, to be known in those nations, to have good relationships and respect in those nations. He speaks Chinese! The guy is a very, very well-rounded human being, so I wouldn’t be surprised once his Hollywood run is done.
He concluded by saying that current President Donald Trump is 79 years old, and once John Cena’s Hollywood run ends, running for President could be a great choice for him.
Look—Trump is our president, he’s 79. I think Cena’s got a hell of a run in Hollywood and then some opportunities to maybe get into politics one day if he plays his cards right, if it’s something he wants to do. I think John is such a nice person—if he sees an opportunity to change the world, he might just do it.
