Jim Cornette Says Nobody Gets Over Against Chris Jericho In AEW

Chris Jericho

Since Adam Cole returned to AEW after nine months out of the ring he has been on a collision course with Chris Jericho and that is something Jim Cornette has an issue with.

Cole’s first match back in action after dealing with his concussion issues saw him defeat The Jericho Appreciation Society’s Daniel Garcia. Chris Jericho was less than thrilled with that and since then he has handcuffed Cole to the ring while The Outcasts launched a vicious and sustained assault on Cole’s girlfriend, Dr Britt Baker DMD.

Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, the wrestling veteran noted that he’s not happy with how AEW has used Adam Cole since his return and thinks anyone working with The Jericho Appreciation Society is the “kiss of death”:

“Adam Cole, with the goodwill he had from the people about the legitimate concussion problem and he was out for so long, remember the first couple of times he brought the house down. They have made him look like a small, tiny simpleton and done nothing interesting, and the Jericho group is the kiss of death because it’s always the same thing.

“They will do a WWE, sports entertainment-style angle where they just beat somebody up unmercifully with no one trying to help, and it’s the same thing every time. Then, who gets over against Jericho? Nobody.”

Although far from confirmed it looks like Cole and Jericho will face off in some capacity at Double Or Nothing on May 28th. What is confirmed for that show is its main event after MJF, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and Jungle Boy Jack Perry faced off in tag team action on Dynamite.
