Jelly Roll Officially Set For WWE In-Ring Return On 3/27 SmackDown
Jelly Roll has been advertised for a match on WWE SmackDown less than a month before WrestleMania.
The Grammy Award-winning singer Jelly Roll has been through a lot in his life, from being arrested to bouncing back and being a very successful musician. Jelly has also lost over 300 pounds and looks much better than he did in the past.
On the March 13th episode of WWE SmackDown, Jelly Roll appeared on Miz TV, which led to insults from The Miz. The segment also saw Kit WIlsome get involved, and Jelly actually punched The Miz when he was aiming for Wilson, who moved out of the way.
Kit Wilson called out Jelly Roll on WWE SmackDown in Raleigh, but it wasn’t for a fight. It was for a “Word Slam” as Wilson pulled out his book of poetry and did insults about Jelly. Wilson’s insults were mostly about Jelly spending time in jail, being fat in the past, and not being able to see his “Willie” because of it.
Jelly Roll’s Mom Jokes Led To An Attack By Kit Wilson
In response, Jelly said he didn’t bring a little book but might have something for Wilson. Jelly claimed he didn’t need to see his Willie because Kit’s mother sees it for him. Jelly made more claims about things he did with Kit’s mother, and the audience was laughing at the mom jokes.
Kit was furious, so he attacked Jelly from behind and sent Jelly into the turnbuckle. Kit hit a running elbow against the turnbuckle. Kit jumped off the top and hit a corkscrew elbow on Jelly. Kit’s music played to end the segment.
Later in the show, Jelly told SmackDown GM Nick Aldis he wanted a match with Wilson, so Aldis granted the match for the March 27th edition of SmackDown.
If Jelly Roll actually wrestles Kit Wilson on the March 27th SmackDown, then it will be his second WWE match. The only match Jelly Roll had in WWE was at SummerSlam 2025 when he teamed up with Randy Orton in a losing effort to Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
Jelly Roll has been rumored to be part of WrestleMania since early March, and it looks like he’ll have some kind of role on the show, depending on how things go against Wilson on SmackDown next week.
