Jasper Troy Set For Tought Test On WWE NXT Next Week

Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT had multiple number-one contenders’ matches scheduled for the show. The first of the two matches saw DarkState find out their challengers for the tag team titles.

The Vanity Project won a chaotic fatal-four-way match to earn a shot at the tag team championships. The other match saw the finals of the WWE Speed tournament take place on tonight’s show.

The final of the tournament saw newly signed NXT superstar, Elio LeFleur, take on Eli Knight after they had won their respective first-round matches.

Jasper Troy to defend his title next week on WWE NXT

The two put on an incredible fight against each other as they both looked to get their shot at the title. However, neither of them were able to get the better of the other.

It looked like LeFleur is heading to the win but before he could pin Knight, the three minute time limit was exhausted and the match came to an end. Following the match, the interim NXT General Manger, Robert Stone made an interesting announcement.

He stated that while such a result would generally mean that Jasper Troy retains his title by default, he was impressed by their match. He announced a first-time ever triple threat match for the WWE Speed Championship with Troy set to defend his title against both Knight and LeFleur.

The match will also see a special time limit of seven minutes, considering there will be three competitors in the match.
