Jamie Hayter Injury Worries Engulf AEW

Jamie Hayter AEW

There are more questions than answers over Jamie Hayter as she appeared to suffer an injury at AEW Double Or Nothing.

Since making a somewhat low-key return to AEW at All In 2024, Jamie Hayter has been slowly working her way back to the top of the AEW women’s division.

In recent months, this saw the star reach the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, putting her one match away from challenging for the Women’s World Championship. A title that Hayter lost at Double or Nothing 2023 after sustaining a major back injury that threatened to end her career altogether.

However, after a hard-hitting final, it was Mercedes Mone who walked out with the win at Double or Nothing 2025, and perhaps more crucially, a shot at Toni Storm at All In Texas.

Following that loss, Jamie Hayter was taken out by a debuting Thekla and has since not been seen, prompting questions about a possible injury.

Jamie Hayter Not Cleared To Compete In AEW?

Fightful Select has now offered an update on Hayter’s condition, noting that they were told Hayter was okay after her Double Or Nothing match. However, sources in AEW have noted that Hayter would be booked if she were available, indicating that she was currently not cleared to compete. There is no timetable for her return as yet.

AEW is said to have had to “get creative” with Hayter’s angle with Thekla, which is why the lights went out before the Toxic Spider attacked.
