Jade Cargill In Huge Face-To-Face On SmackDown

Jade Cargill has arrived in WWE and she has already come face-to-face with a major star.

Jade Cargill stunned the wrestling world on the 26th of September when it was announced that she had signed a deal with WWE following her contract with AEW coming to an end. While some new signings go quietly about their business in NXT before making it to the main roster, WWE is doing quite the opposite with Cargill, touting her signing on both Raw and SmackDown.

On the season premiere of the blue brand, there were major implications for the WWE Women’s Championship after Bayley took on Zelina Vega. Bayley won and as Damage CTRL continued their assault on Vega, they were chased off by Charlotte Flair.

Jade Cargill introduced to Charlotte Flair

Later in the evening, Charlotte Flair was seen in new SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis’ office and there was a huge face-off that took place as The Queen turned around to come nose-to-nose with Jade Cargill. The two women briefly exchanged words but perhaps the seed had been planted for what would be a huge match somewhere down the line.

Nick Aldis had a busy night in his new role and one of the first decisions he made was to grant Charlotte Flair a one-on-one WWE Women’s Title shot against IYO SKY for the 20th of October edition of SmackDown.
