WWE Star Costs Jacob Fatu U.S. Title At WWE SummerSlam
Jacob Fatu failed to recapture the United States Championship at WWE SummerSlam.
Jacob Fatu debuted in WWE last year as part of Solo Sikoa’s faction. Nevertheless, their relationship turned sour a few months ago. They have since feuded on SmackDown.
At Night of Champions, Sikoa defeated his cousin to capture the United States Championship with the help of JC Mateo, Tonga Loa, and a debuting Talla Tonga.
As their feud continued on the blue brand, Fatu pinned Sikoa in a tag team match. The latter later accused his cousin of being responsible for the car crash he and his MFTs were allegedly involved in on the July 18 episode of SmackDown. However, it was revealed that Sikoa was trying to frame Fatu, leading to the police arresting the former Bloodline member.
Meanwhile, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, who filled in for Nick Aldis that night, announced that Sikoa will face Fatu in a Steel Cage Match at SummerSlam for the United States Championship.
Talla Tonga Helps Solo Sikoa Leave WWE SummerSlam Victorious Over Jacob Fatu
As Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa battled at The Biggest Party of the Summer, the MFTs rushed to the ringside in an apparent attempt to help their leader. Jimmy Uso quickly came to Fatu’s aid, taking out Tonga Loa and JC Mateo before the giant Talla Tonga dropped him.
Talla Tonga later climbed the cage and handcuffed Fatu to the top of the cell. Fatu, however, shockingly broke the handcuffs and prevented Sikoa from leaving the cage through the door.
Nevertheless, The Samoan Werewolf’s attempt to keep his opponent inside the cage failed when Talla Tonga big booted the door into Fatu’s head, allowing his leader to finally drop outside to retain his title.

After the match, Solo Sikoa ordered JC Mateo and Tonga Loa to attack Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf instead took them out with a stunning moonsault off the top of the cage.
