Jack Perry Received Warning From AEW Management Following Promo

Jungle Boy Jack Perry

Jack Perry got in trouble with higher-ups in AEW following the use of a banned word in a promo.

Currently reigning as the heel FTW Champion, Perry was previously a beloved babyface in his feud with Christian Cage. This would also be the rivalry where Cage began his run of feuding with wrestlers who have lost their fathers and referencing it in promos.

During the rivalry, Perry would fire back at Cage by stating “You are the biggest p*ssy I have met in my entire life.” A line that was not approved by backstage officials.

Speaking on Hey! (EW), the former Tag Team Champion revealed that he was strongly advised to not repeat that line again on television:

“Literally that line exposed all the p*ssies back here, because I got in so much trouble about that word. They’re emailing me saying, ‘Please don’t ever say that again.'”

Wanting to rebel against management, Perry wanted to release alternative merchandise to protest the order:

“I made a shirt with that word on it, ‘Never wear this again or else we’re going to do this and this,'”

Is Jack Perry Wrestling At AEW All In?

While not officially announced at the time of writing, Perry’s match will be announced 24 hours before All In takes place. As seen in an episode of Collision that has been pre-taped, Perry will defend the FTW Championship against HOOK on the pre-show of the UK pay-per-view.

This is not the first time that Perry has reportedly been in trouble backstage. Following multiple stories being published about backstage tensions in AEW, a recent disagreement between the FTW Champion and CM Punk would come to light.

Perry also recently faced off against RVD on Dynamite, and has recounted what it was like to compete in the one-of-a-kind match.
