Injury Update On Tommaso Ciampa
Don’t expect to see Tommaso Ciampa in the ring at all for the rest of this year.
Tommaso Ciampa spent many years wrestling in NXT before being called up to the WWE main roster in April of this year. He spent some time in midcard feuds, but hasn’t been since September. Ciampa
And the reason for his disappearance was that he underwent surgery on his hip labrum in late October, which Ciampa posted about on Instagram.
According to PWInsider, that injury will keep Tommaso Ciampa out of the ring for the rest of 2022. Any updates regarding Ciampa’s return strongly suggest that he won’t be back “until next year.”
On November 9th, Ciampa posted a video update on Instagram where he wrote:
“Hip rehab certainly is not IG “cool”, but it sure has become a full time job. Two sessions per day, 5 days per week. 3 sessions per day, 2 days per week. Wild.”
Tommaso Ciampa’s 2022 saw him debut in April and then lose his first name shortly thereafter. He started a feud with Mustafa Ali and then became an ally of The Miz.
Ciampa’s last WWE match this year was an unsuccessful US title match against Bobby Lashley on September 17th.
During his NXT career, Ciampa was one of the most successful wrestlers in the history of the brand. He is a former two-time NXT Champion and he held the NXT Tag Team Titles with Johnny Gargano as well.
