Impact Wrestling Announces Knockouts Title Match At No Surrender

The new Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James knows who she is defending her title against and when it will happen after the company announced the big title match.

At Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view on Friday the 13th (of January), Mickie James put her career on the line in a Knockouts Title match against the dominant champion, Jordynne Grace.

It was the first time the two women have ever faced eachother and it was a match that was put in the main event slot of Hard to Kill. The back-and-forth ended when Mickie hit a Tornado DDT off the ropes for the pinfall win to claim her fifth Knockouts Title while also avoiding retirement, at least for now.

In another match at Hard to Kill, Masha Slamovich became the number one contender for the Knockouts Title.

On this week’s Impact Wrestling episode that aired on January 19th, James teamed up with Jordynne Grace & Frankie Kazarian to defeat Bully Ray, Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans in a six-person tag team match. After the match, Slamovich brought a contract out with her. James didn’t back down as she shoved it right back in her face.

Shortly after this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling concluded, the company officially announced the Mickie James-Masha Slamovich Knockouts Title match for February 24th at No Surrender in Las Vegas. You can check out the announcement below.

At Hard To Kill, Mickie James toppled Jordynne Grace to reclaim the Knockouts World Title and bring her Last Rodeo to a triumphant conclusion. But on that same night, Masha Slamovich conquered not one, not two but three other Knockouts to become the new #1 Contender for the division’s top prize. Following James’ victory in a six-person tag team match just days later on IMPACT!, she was confronted by Slamovich who issued her a symbolic death warrant. We can now confirm that Mickie James will defend the Knockouts World Title against Masha Slamovich in a first-time-ever matchup at No Surrender. Will James remain at the top of the mountain? Or will it all come crashing down at the hands of Masha Slamovich?
