Huge Update On Matt Riddle’s WWE Suspension

Matt Riddle

A new report has shed light on the current status of Matt Riddle following the former United States Champion’s suspension from the company.

Matt Riddle has not been seen on WWE television since the 5th of December 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw where he was viciously attacked by Solo Sikoa. That attack provided an excuse for Riddle to be absent from TV as a report emerged that Riddle had failed his second drug test in WWE and would be entering rehab as a result.

Sixty days suspension has been WWE’s punishment for second offences when it comes to drug test failures and it appears that Matt Riddle could now be clear to return to the company when they choose to have him back.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Riddle’s suspension should be over but WWE might be holding him back for a return after WrestleMania 39:

“His suspension should have been up already so either he’ll make an appearance – sometimes if you’re not on the WrestleMania card […] they just delay their return until after Mania. I don’t know if that’s the case, he may show up next week or whatever. But he was suspended, his suspension is now over.”

While absent from WWE, Riddle’s private life has been in the spotlight with the star hitting back at claims made by an ex-partner of his.
