He’s Here!!! 2-Time AEW Champion Makes Dominant WWE SmackDown Debut
Tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown is the penultimate one on the Road to WrestleMania, and the promotion went all out to make it a memorable one for the fans.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY got the show rolling with the Genius of the Sky setting up a huge main event clash for herself that has the WWE Universe waiting with bated breath.
Additionally, tonight also featured the SmackDown debut of former Royce Keys, f.k.a. Powerhouse Hobbs. Keys made his first appearance for the promotion since debuting at the Royal Rumble.
Royce Keys made his first WWE appearance since the Royal Rumble
Keys wrestled his first SmackDown match on television tonight in his home state of California. He was in action against one-half of Los Garza, with Berto facing the former AEW star.
He dominated the early proceedings in the match before Garza distracted him to help Berto to gain the upper hand momentarily. Royce came back into the match quickly enough, flattening Berto with a running powerslam.
As Garza tried to intervene once again, he was met with a heavy clothesline before taking Berton out with a vicious Spinebuster to earn his first win in WWE.
