Sad news for Stephanie Vaquer’s fans, as she will be out of action for a while.

La Primera put the Women’s World Championship on the line against Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42, where she lost the title in a match that lasted only seven minutes.

On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Liv Morgan and her Judgment Day teammates, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, attacked her backstage. Later in the show, Michael Cole provided an update on her condition, revealing that Stephanie Vaquer suffered a shoulder injury and will be out of action for a while.

Cole revealed, “We understand that Stephanie has suffered a second-degree AC sprain of the left shoulder. Could be out for a bit.”

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer recently confirmed that the injury is legitimate. He added that it is unclear when she sustained it. The Judgment Day attack angle on Raw was likely written to take her off television and send her on a hiatus, giving her time to recover and rehabilitate.

Stephanie Vaquer Nearly Missed Out On Women’s World Championship Win

Stephanie Vaquer had won the Women’s World Championship at WrestlePalooza in September 2025 after defeating Iyo Sky in a singles match for the vacant title. During her reign as champion, she defended her title against top stars like Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Bella.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on April 14, Stephanie Vaquer revealed that she almost didn’t become champion at WrestlePalooza last year. She disclosed she felt sick before her title match and that it was nearly canceled. However, she requested Triple H not to call off the match and went on to compete and win the championship despite being ill.

“No, but this is amazing, because that’s a long history. Before Wrestlepalooza, [it was] supposed to be I go to Clash in Paris. I was really, really sick, so they cancel my participation in Clash in Paris. I’m so, so sad. So after, WWE said, Don’t worry, we have iced the story for you. Wrestlepalooza is a big event; it’s the first Wrestlepalooza, so I’m excited.”

“One week before, I get sick again, I feel like sick again. So medical say, Okay, I’m sorry, but you can’t go to Wrestlepalooza. I already have the ticket, the flight for my dad and everything and like that. That was so hard in that moment, but I talked with Triple H, and I talk with many people in WWE and say, No, I’m ready.”

“I’m not sick. I feel good. I can do that. Please just let me go, I can do that. Finally, I was there, and that was amazing, because it’s not just Wrestlepalooza, big event with IYO SKY, my dad was there and my dream that Women’s World Champion.”
