Heartbreaking Betrayal Rocks AEW Double Or Nothing 2026
The dynamics of the Don Callis Family completely fractured tonight at AEW Double or Nothing 2026, as a returning Kyle Fletcher shocked the wrestling world by betraying his friend.
The betrayal unfolded after a highly competitive, hard-hitting contest in which Konosuke Takeshita challenged Kazuchika Okada for the AEW International Championship.
The two stablemates, who had been clashing for months over who truly anchored their faction, traded devastating maneuvers in front of the crowd in New York. Okada desperately attempted to retain his title, even kicking out of a Rainmaker. However, The Alpha ultimately overwhelmed the champion, putting him away with his signature Raging Fire finisher to win the AEW International Title.
However, Konosuke Takeshita’s celebration was short-lived, as after the match, the rest of the Don Callis Family came out and went after him. For a moment, it looked like the new champion was in real trouble. Then Kyle Fletcher’s music hit. He was back.
Kyle Fletcher returned after the AEW International Championship match
The ProtoStar had been out injured and was returning for the first time after two months of absence.
Fletcher initially stepped up to Okada, appearing to stand in defense of his longtime friend, Konosuke Takeshita. He entered the ring, handed the International Championship belt to the new champion, and embraced him in a celebratory hug. But it turned out to be a ruse. As the crowd cheered, he turned on his longtime friend, and he dropped him with a clothesline.
Kyle Fletcher then proceeded to beat Takeshita alongside the rest of the Don Callis Family.
