Four WWE Raw Stars Advance In King And Queen Of The Ring Tournaments

The WWE King and Queen of the Ring tournaments continued on Raw with four wrestlers picking up huge wins.

There were some high-stakes matches that took place on WWE Raw from Greenville, SC. There were two King of the Ring tournament quarterfinal matches and two Queen of the Ring tournament quarterfinal matches as well.

On the men’s side in the King of the Ring Quarterfinals, GUNTHER picked up a huge win over Kofi Kingston with a Boston Crab submission. Kofi attacked the big man before the match, but Gunther was able to make the comeback and get the win.

In the main event of Raw, Jey Uso defeated Ilja Dragunov with an Uso Splash. After the match, Gunther had a staredown with Jey.

The two women’s matches saw IYO SKY beat Shayna Baszler with the Over the Moonsault. Meanwhile, Raw newcomer Lyra Valkyrie got a big victory over Zoey Stark with the Nightwing slam.

That means that next week on the May 20th edition of Raw, GUNTHER faces Jey Uso and IYO SKY is against Lyra Valkyria in the King and Queen of the Ring tournament semifinals.

This year’s WWE King And Queen of the Ring tournaments will culminate with the finals taking place at the King And Queen of the Ring PLE from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 25th.

What WWE SmackDown Stars Are Still In The Tournaments?

This coming Friday, May 17th on WWE Smackdown, there will be more King and Queen of the Ring Tournament matches.

On the men’s side, Randy Orton will face Carmelo Hayes and LA Knight will battle Tama Tonga.

As for the women’s matches, Jade Cargill will be against Nia Jax while Bianca Belair faces Tiffany Stratton. If Cargill & Belair win it would lead to a matchup between the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in a first-time-ever singles match.
