Former WWE Star Awaiting Creative Direction After Signing “Quite Some Time” Ago

One former WWE star re-signed with the company “quite some time ago” according to a recent report!

Though fans were excited when Chelsea Green signed with WWE in 2018, her first run with the company didn’t exactly go to plan. The former “Hot Mess” broke her wrist during her NXT TV debut match and underwent surgery soon after, keeping her out of action until the following June and off television for much longer. The star was added to Robert Stone’s stable in January of 2020, but after an uneven run, fired Stone as her manager the next May.

Green was called up to WSmackDown in November of 2020, but after competing in a fatal four way match during her television debut, she once again broke her wrist and was forced out of action once more. She was released from her WWE contract in April of 2021 and has since competed in ROH, IMPACT Wrestling, and GCW alongside her husband Matt Cardona.

Rumors have been swirling for months that Green may be on her way back to WWE, with the star herself admitting she has “unfinished business” with the sports entertainment giant.

That business may be attended to as according to a new report from Fighful Select, Green has not only re-signed with WWE, but has been signed for “quite some time.” The report notes that she is awaiting creative before re-debuting with the company.

The Fightful Select report also notes that Green shut down her personal exclusive content site recently, and that her husband’s Major Wrestling Figure Podcast had to limit the amount of Chelsea Green merchandise they produced as a result of her signing. While they have attempted to get confirmation of her signing from the star herself, the report notes that she has not personally confirmed the information for obvious reasons ahead of a potential re-debut.

The report goes on to say that while Green’s husband Matt Cardona has not signed with WWE at this time, nothing should be ruled out for the future.
