Ex-WWE Star Makes Heartbreaking Revelation: “I Almost Died”

A 46-year-old former WWE star has revealed they almost lost their life.

Shelly Martinez had nearly a 17-year career in the wrestling business before retiring almost nine years ago. The California native is best known for her two-year run in WWE as Ariel.

Martinez has been discussing her wrestling career and personal life openly on her Too Much Information (TMI) podcast. On a recent episode, she revealed that she had almost died four years ago.

So, I’ve been in survival mode for a few years because I haven’t talked about the details yet. And when I’m ready to, I will, because it’s very personal. But in 2022, I almost died, and I was in the emergency room, and I had to have an emergency surgery. So, since then, it’s been quite the drainage of my life because I had to not only heal from this gnarly surgery, but on top of it, I started to have to take care of a family member. During her time in WWE, Shelly Martinez was rumored to have had an intimate relationship with Batista. On an episode of her Too Much Information (TMI) podcast, the former Ariel refuted these speculations.

The 46-year-old noted that she was not even attracted to The Animal.

I never hooked up with Batista. No offense to Batista, he’s zero my type, first of all. Zero, zero, zero, zero. So, you guys are like bossing me to have this weird, fake, never happened relationship with somebody that I had no attraction to whatsoever.
