Every year, WWE releases several superstars from their contracts for various reasons, and 2025 was no different. The promotion saw the departure of the likes of Andrade, Karrion Kross, and Dakota Kai, among others.

Most of them either sign with another promotion like Andrade or continue to test themselves on the independent circuit. However, one of the biggest names the company released last year has yet to return to the ring.

Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman was released from his contract in May 2025 due to injury issthe ues he faced during his second run with the company. Since leaving WWE, instead of returning to the ring, Strowman has found success as a TV show host.

Braun Strowman is thriving post-WWE release

The USA Network, who have a good working relationship with the Stamford-based promotion, brought Braun Strowman on board for the WWE Studios show, Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman.

The first season featured eight episodes and was a huge hit among the fans, prompting the network to renew the show for another season, which will feature 12 episodes this time.

Strowman hasn’t wrestled since his release, and with the success of his show, it remains to be seen if the fans will see the Monster Among Men make his return to the squared circle.
