This former AEW World Champion went off on Dynamite and is now paying for his actions.

Swerve Strickland on the Feb 18 episode of Dynamite faced Kenny Omega in the main event.

At one point during the bout, he used referee Aubrey Edwards as a shield to avoid getting hit by Omega’s V-trigger move.

A new referee entered the bout, and Strickland later won it after successfully hitting Omega with a House Call, followed by Big Pressure.

Strickland didn’t stop there, however, and went on to choke Omega with a chain and executed a Vertebreaker on him onto the announcer’s table.

AEW’s Sweve Strickland Fined $10000 For His Actions

On the Feb 21 episode of Collision, it was announced that Swerve Strickland was fined $100,000 and was suspended from appearing on the Saturday show.

Strickland has now officially turned heel on AEW TV. He had returned as a babyface on November 22nd last year at Full Gear. He failed to capture the AEW World Championship in a fatal four-way bout at World’s End that MJF won.
