Eva Marie On WWE Exit: “That One Is F**king Little Bit Odd”
Eva Marie has opened up about her release from WWE five years ago.
The All Red Everything initially joined the Stamford-based company in 2013 and immediately joined the cast of the first season of Total Divas. The 41-year-old’s first run lasted four years, during which she wrestled on SmackDown, RAW, and NXT. She even participated in the Divas Championship battle royal at WrestleMania 30 before she was released from her contract in 2017.
Three years following her departure, Eva Marie returned to WWE. Her second stint lasted only a year before she was let go again.
Eva Marie Addressed Her Second WWE Release
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Eva Marie discussed several topics, including her departure from the Stamford-based company in 2021.
The former Total Divas star revealed that her run was supposed to last longer. She pointed out that management changes might have led to her release.
That one is actually f**king a little bit odd, because it was supposed to be longer than that, and it wasn’t. But I think there is going to be changing of hands in management, and that’s kind of what happened with my contract. So it kind of got messed up within kind of that communication.
