WWE SmackDown aired live from Barcelona, Spain, tonight as it served as the go-home show for this Sunday’s Clash In Italy. The Premium Live Event is set to be hosted in Turin, making it the company’s first PLE in Italy.

The promotion has lined up some exciting matches for the show in Italy, and the card will see both of the men’s World Championships being defended. One of the most anticipated matches of the card will see Cody Rhodes defend his title against Gunther.

Gunther challenged the American Nightmare for the Undisputed WWE Championship after moving to the blue brand. The two men came face-to-face in the ring tonight on the go-home episode.

The Ring General called out Cody’s privilege during their main event segment, given that he’s a second-generation superstar. He called Cody an entitled brat and a liar because he went away from the promotion and came back to it after just a single phone call.

For you, everything was just one phone call away. You wanted to train as a wrestler? One phone call. You wanted a contract with WWE? One phone call. You left and wanted to come back to WWE? I bet that was one phone call. And all of that, Cody, makes you a little, entitled brat!

Cody responded by stating that while Gunther claims to be a pure wrestler who doesn’t like the responsibilities that come with being a champion, he really wants to take on that role again, as he is coming after his title.

Gunther ended the segment by reminding Cody that he said he would retire Goldberg, and he did. He said that he’ll kill AJ Styles’ career, and he did. He even mentioned that he would tap out John Cena, and he did that too, and now at Clash in Italy, he’ll rip the Undisputed Title from Cody Rhodes on this Sunday.
