Eddie Kingston Wants To Join Surprising AEW Group

Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston had his sights set on joining a faction in AEW, but not one you might think.

Eddie Kingston does not always play well with others in AEW with his friendship with Jon Moxley even going through the ringer due to Moxley’s decision to partner up with Kingston’s hated rival Claudio Castagnoli in The Blackpool Combat Club.

Despite that, Kingston has asked to join a faction in AEW that would have seen him partner up with The Hardys, Isiah Kassidy, and Ethan Page in what would have been a surprising move.

Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the AEW star noted that Eddie Kingston had asked if he could join the Hardy Party when asked to pick a member of the roster to join his group:

“Well, the first person I’m gonna say and they if you listen to the show, you know this, if you don’t, you probably don’t, but I was gonna say Wardlow. I would love to do it with Wardlow, that would definitely be great.

“A person that I think would love to do a trios with myself and Jeff would be Eddie Kingston. Before he was leaving to go to Japan, he said, ‘When I get back from this G1, can I be with you guys?’ He said, ‘I see what you guys are doing. You guys are always cooking. You’re very creative. It’s just easy. No bullsh*t. Can I be with you guys? Can I be part of The Hardy Party?’ I love some Eddie Kingston, man.”

Where is Eddie Kingston?

Eddie Kingston is currently missing from AEW with his last match for the company coming back at Forbidden Door in June when he teamed with Adam Page, The Young Bucks, and Tomohiro Ishii to defeat The Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita, and Shota Umino.

Since then Kingston’s attentions have been firmly on New Japan Pro Wrestling and the G1 Climax tournament that he is a part of for the first time in his career.
