Drew McIntyre Sends Bold Message To Roman Reigns & CM Punk

Drew McIntyre reacts to CM Punk and Roman Reigns taking shots at him.

During a promo segment on the February 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, Reigns and Punk shared the ring as Reigns teased his WrestleMania plans and ultimately decided that he would choose Punk as his opponent for WrestleMania.

Before making the official announcement, both men took verbal shots at the WWE Undisputed Champion, Drew McIntyre.

Punk suggested that Reigns should choose McIntyre if he wanted an “easy way out,” claiming that McIntyre is fragile. Reigns fired back by also aiming at McIntyre during his promo on Punk, reminding everyone that he has beaten Drew McIntyre repeatedly over the past three years.

As the back-and-forth continued, Reigns and Punk roasted each other while also repeatedly dragging McIntyre into the exchange.

CM Punk And Roman Reigns’ Verbal Attacks Had No Affect On Drew McIntyre

While appearing at the WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Drew McIntyre spoke with Denise Salcedo and was asked about Reigns and Punk taking shots at him on Raw. McIntyre then shared his reaction to being dissed by both stars during the segment.

McIntyre said that he didn’t care when Reigns and Punk insulted him. But it really upset him when they tried to make SmackDown’s WWE Undisputed Championship seem less important than Raw’s World Heavyweight Championship.

I didn’t care what they said about me. And to be honest, they didn’t really say anything bad about me. Because one of them would try and say something bad about
me, spin the narrative to themselves because I wasn’t there to defend myself. And the other one would just tell the truth.

Like Punk would run his mouth. Roman would say, “Drew’s four times bigger than you. Had you crying over a plastic bracelet. Roman would run his mouth. I beat Drew for three years straight. Yeah, you and your whole family.” So I didn’t care about that. It was trying to make the title, this title, feel lesser than SmackDown feel lesser than.

That’s what bothered me. That’s why in SmackDown I came out and said what I said. This is the number one title. No matter what you want to say, no matter how you want to spin it, I get it. But you’re two giant superstars. Focus on yourselves. Focus on the title. The guys that have held this title, including you guys, made it what it is, the number one title. (From 1:22)
