Drew McIntyre Hits Back At WWE Politics
Drew McIntyre is looking ahead to his match with Cody Rhodes.
In the days after SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre decided it was time to make a statement. As it turned out, that statement was smashing Cody Rhodes’ head through the side of the announcer’s table with a vicious Claymore Kick.
This set up a match between the pair at Wrestlepalooza, which McIntyre ultimately lost.
However, the defeat did little to calm the tension. Following another skirmish on SmackDown, McIntyre and Rhodes will square off one more time at Saturday Night’s Main Event. According to a recent report, that match has been moved from Survivor Series after Jacob Fatu was declared unable to compete.
Drew McIntyre Has A Plan
In a new interview with the Edinburgh News, McIntyre looked ahead to his rematch with Rhodes, revealing that this time he has a plan. However, above all else, he just wants the best man to win on the night.
“This time I have a game plan. I have something in mind. I have one more SmackDown to get through before Saturday Night’s Main Event. And I got a feeling I can get this match in a place where I feel comfortable, that the better man will win, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted. That the better man wins, not the one that plays politics best, or the one that kisses ass best wins.”
Elsewhere at Saturday Night’s Main Event, a new World Heavyweight Champion will be decided when CM Punk takes on Jey Uso. The title is currently vacant after Seth Rollins was forced to undergo shoulder surgery following Crown Jewel.
Meanwhile, Tiffany Stratton will put the Women’s Championship on the line against Jade Cargill, and Dominik Mysterio defends the Intercontinental Championship against Penta and Rusev.
