Dominik Mysterio Explains Liv Morgan’s Absence From Major Show
On Monday, Dominik Mysterio returned to WWE after over a month’s absence.
At the AAA Guerra de Titanes event on December 20, 2025, Mysterio teamed up with El Grande Americano to face Rey Fenix and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
During a DDT spot with his father, Dominik injured his shoulder and looked in distress for the remainder of the bout.
Ultimately, it was the babyfaces who scored the victory. After the match, Dominik had a fallout even with Americano.
Due to the injury, the 28-year-old missed the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, now that Dominik Mysterio is back, he has his eyes set on a WrestleMania spot to defend his Intercontinental Championship.
However, on this week’s Raw, he returned for a completely different reason—to celebrate his beau Liv Morgan’s Royal Rumble victory. Morgan said that she would reveal her WrestleMania opponent at a later date, as the night was about Raquel Rodriguez, who was scheduled to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.
Unfortunately, Raquel failed to capture the title despite Morgan’s interference in the match.
Dominik Mysterio Explains Liv Morgan’s Absence At AAA Show
Along with being the Intercontinental Champion in WWE, Dominik Mysterio holds the AAA Mega Championship, currently involved in a feud with El Hijo del Vikingo.
He was present at the recent taping of AAA on FOX, but without Liv Morgan.
Now, a video shared online by Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide clarifies why Morgan did not attend the show.
On Friday, the 31-year-old was on SmackDown, where she was forced to compete in a tag team match with Raquel Rodriguez against WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill and Jordynne Grace.
An unfortunate miscommunication saw Raquel take out Liv with a vicious kick, as they lost the tag match.
The X video shows Dominik Mysterio talking to Liv Morgan on the phone, telling her not to come to Mexico and instead focus on other business at hand.
