Destroyed!! CM Punk Gets Payback For Last Week, Lays Out Roman Reigns On WWE RAW

The main event of WWE WrestleMania 42 will see CM Punk defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns on Night Two of the Show of Shows.

Roman won the Royal Rumble earlier this year and chose Punk as the champion of his choosing, given the hatred he holds for the Voice of the Voiceless cause of their storied history.

Since then, both men have exchanged some heated words and arguments with each other, and things have even become physical, with Roman snapping at Punk last week.

CM Punk came with a vengeance to WWE RAW tonight

They were set for another segment tonight, and Roman came out to the ring first during the main event, but was cut off by CM Punk just after he asked the fans to acknowledge him.

Punk didn’t have anything to say tonight, and he went straight away for his WrestleMania challenger, as both men began brawling. After fighting in the ring for a bit, the brawl carried on outside as they looked to put each other away.

Adam Pearce and the rest of the production team tried to separate the two, but were unable to do so. Roman tried to take Punk out with a spear, but instead caught a production member, which allowed Punk to get the upper hand.

He utilized this window to lift Roman across his shoulders and deliver a GTS to the OTC. He didn’t stop there, though, and picked him up again before powerbombing him through the announce table and standing tall to end the show.
