Concerns After WWE Stars Banged Up After Recent Match

Multiple WWE Superstars are “banged up” following a recent event.

Following what has been a whirlwind start to 2024, NXT held its latest special on February 4th with Vengeance Day in Clarksville, Tennessee.

The show opened with the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic between Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin, and Trick Williams & Carmelo Hayes. Ahead of the match, Corbin and Breakker had agreed to go their separate ways when the tournament ended, while Williams was pulling double duty as he challenged for the NXT Championship in the main event.

In the end, it was Breakker and Corbin who grabbed the win, but not before a couple of scary incidents nearly saw Breakker and Hayes left seriously injured. With regard to Breakker specifically, he got tangled in the ring ropes while running at them at full speed, however, he was able to keep forward momentum and came right back into the ring.

According to a report via Fightul Select, the incidents led to questions about the tightness of the ropes backstage, while all four men were said to be “banged up” afterward.

Chaos Reigns In WWE NXT Vengeance Day Main Event

In the main event, Williams suffered a second defeat as he lost out to Ilja Dragunov in his quest for the NXT Title. However, it’s what came after the bell that made the biggest impact.

As the credits began to roll, Carmelo Hayes attacked Trick Williams after initially consoling him. Hayes took his former friend out at the knee before delivering a devastating attack with a steel chair as the crowd made their disgust clear.
