How Bron Breakker Injured Himself Finally Revealed On WWE Unreal

In early 2026, Bron Breakker unexpectedly sustained a hernia.

Breakker and The Vision had closed 2025 on a high, positioning themselves as the most dominant faction on Raw by neutralizing their top rivals.

WWE had planned big things for “The Dog’ in 2026, potentially even a world championship reign.

On television, the group, which also included Paul Heyman, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed, laid out a plan that would see Breakker win the men’s Royal Rumble tournament and the world title at WrestleMania 42.

Bron Breakker drew #2 for the match, which put him in the crosshairs of Oba Femi, who was the #1 entrant.

Just as Breakker made his way out, he was attacked by a man in a hoodie, who ended up hitting Seth Rollins’ stomp on him. He was then thrown into the ring, only for Femi to immediately clothesline him over the top rope, causing an elimination.

On the following episode of the red brand, a livid Bron Breakker arrived by the ringside and destroyed the commentary desk before sending a stern warning to Seth Rollins.

While nothing seemed out of place at the time, media outlets began reporting later that Breakker would need surgery after a hernia had been detected.

The 28-year-old explained how he stumbled upon this ordeal while speaking on Season 3 of WWE: Unreal.

I was supposed to destroy the set, get as mad as I possibly could. Had nothing to do with physicality or anything like that. It happened when I was screaming. My entire midsection locked up. I went to the back. We still had one more shot to do. I was in the locker room, and I was kind of, like, hunched over, kind of holding my stomach, like, “What the hell just happened?”

And then I went to stand up to do the second shot, I couldn’t stand up. My stomach was, like, I couldn’t come out of, like, this hunched-over, feel-sorry-for-me crap. So, ultimately, I went into medical. I said, “I think something’s going on. I think it’s hernia.” The doc took one look at it, like, “We need to go to the hospital right now, get surgery.”

Bron Breakker Returned At WWE WrestleMania 42

At the time of his hernia, Bron Breakker had been in a long-standing feud with Seth Rollins, who was already injured and out of action since October 2025.

WWE utilized the opportunity, with Rollins playing mind games by sending multiple hooded men on different occasions to take out members of The Vision.

Rollins returned at the 2026 Elimination Chamber PLE, where he attacked Logan Paul, costing him a victory and an opportunity to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship, then held by Cody Rhodes.

With Breakker out of the picture, the creative team set up Rollins’ feud with Gunther that led to a singles match at WrestleMania 42.

Expectedly, both veterans put on an incredible match, but in the final minutes, Bron Breakker made his presence felt by hitting a Spear on Rollins outside the ring.

This allowed The Ring General to apply his dreaded chokehold on The Visionary, which led to the latter passing out, giving Gunther the win.

As Rollins sold the injury after the match, Breakker ran down the ramp and hit another devastating Spear on the former leader of The Vision.
