Cody Rhodes Supports WWE Building A Physical Hall Of Fame

WWE star Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes supports the idea of a physical WWE Hall of Fame.

The WWE Hall of Fame is a ceremony that has taken place during WrestleMania weekend for the last 20 years. It’s a way to celebrate superstars and contributors by paying tribute to them with a video package, a speech by the inductor, and, of course, the deserving person delivering a speech.

However, unlike other Hall of Fames for sports leagues like the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, and even Rock N Roll, there’s no actual physical WWE Hall of Fame, even though many people have debated its existence for decades.

Cody Rhodes is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, he’s the brother of “Goldust” Dustin Rhodes, who is a future WWE Hall of Famer whenever he’s not under an AEW contract, and Cody himself is a future Hall of Famer as well.

During an interview with Mostly Sports, the subject of the WWE Hall of Fame came up, and Cody expressed his support of that idea.

“A physical Hall of Fame? Because of the podcast I do — and thank you for the inspiration, by the way — we record it at HQ. I can tell you there’s more than enough there not just for a Hall of Fame, but for a rotating Hall of Fame. Exhibits that change in and out. There’s gold just sitting there.”

Cody Rhodes Mentions Cities That Could Host WWE Hall Of Fame

The discussion continued with Cody mentioning some of the things that he has seen at WWE headquarters.

“Pat Patterson’s booking journal is just laying there. Creative Services material is everywhere. Ben does a great job, but even he’s said it’s coming so fast that he’s trying to figure out what to do with all of it.”

As he continued, Cody spoke about some cities that have hosted WrestleMania before, and would be logical homes for a physical WWE Hall of Fame.

“I hope a physical Hall of Fame is something in the future. Maybe Vegas. Maybe at the TKO offices — who knows? I’m not saying anything for sure. I think it was pitched for Orlando at one time — maybe, maybe not. But Orlando would be a great spot from a tourism standpoint.”
