Cody Rhodes Shares “Legit Terrifying Secret” Before WWE Royal Rumble

Cody Rhodes recently revealed something his fans may not have known about him.

Cody Rhodes recently lost the WWE Undisputed Championship to Drew McIntyre on SmackDown in a Three Stages of Hell Match.

Although he is currently not at the top of the food chain in WWE, and with the new champion, Drew McIntyre, making sure Rhodes couldn’t get a rematch for the title, The American Nightmare has to work his way up the ladder yet again.

Cody is no stranger to adversity, as he has endured physical and mental toil to reach the heights of success he has in WWE, which is why he announced earlier this year that he will be competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and try to win it to earn a shot at the WWE Championship.

It’s difficult for a wrestler to win the Royal Rumble bout with many factors coming into play, like the entry number and endurance, but Rhodes has still managed to do it twice in 2023 and 2024.

If he wins the gimmick match again in 2026, he will equal Stone Cold Steve Austin’s record of 3 wins.

Cody Rhodes Reveals That He Wanted To Be U.S President

In a recent appearance on Grave Conversations, Cody Rhodes revealed something his fans may not have known.

As a child, Cody Rhodes wanted to be one of two things: a pro-wrestler or the president of the United States of America. He even practiced giving a Presidential speech in front of a mirror till he turned 18. He says this was a terrifying secret that he had kept from everyone until now.

I grew up wanting to be two things. One was a pro wrestler, and the other was, please, if anyone laughs in this room, I’m not going to do anything because I’m in a prone position already, but I wanted to be the president of the United States.

And part of my weird presidential speech that I used to give myself in the mirror, and this was something I did as a kid… That is a legit terrifying secret that I’ve just shared with you about the speech that I gave up until about I was 18 in my mirror.

Fans will have to tune in to the Royal Rumble in Riyadh on January 31st to see how Rhodes fares in the Rumble match.
