CM Punk loves having fun with his fans. As the excitement builds for AEW Rampage: The First Dance, CM Punk has dropped another heavy hint that he is about to join All Elite Wrestling.

For weeks now, the former WWE Champion has been the name on wrestling fan’s lips as Fightful Select first reported that he was in talks to join AEW.

Since then speculation has run wild and expectations were heightened when the company booked the United Center in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois for the second-ever edition of their Friday night Rampage show. That event sold out in mere minutes after tickets went on general sale with fans clamoring to be in attendance for what they believe will be Punk’s highly anticipated wrestling return.

After dropping AEW references on commentary at a recent MMA event, CM Punk has now taken to social media to drop another heavy hint that he is set to end his seven-year absence from the wrestling industry.

Wrestling Inc. tweeted a still from Punk’s Instagram stories, saying:

As well as dropping that heavy hint, Punk had also mused on how incredible blueberries must taste to dogs thanks to their heightened sense of smell – but that might not be related to AEW. Then again, some people might find a way to relate it to AEW!

AEW President Tony Khan also took to social media to hype up The First Dance and says a new era for the company is set to begin after the show in Chicago.

Punk left WWE immediately following the 2014 Royal Rumble, eventually being fired by the company on his wedding day in June of that year. He returned to the company of sorts as a contributor on the WWE Backstage show but was employed by FOX during that time.
