CM Punk Claims Top WWE Star Is Jealous Of Him

CM Punk is the World Heavyweight Champion, and with it comes certain boasting powers.

Recently, The Best in the World secured the spot for the WWE 2K26 cover. This drew criticism from none other than Drew McIntyre!

Seth Rollins wasn’t impressed with Punk being on the cover, and The Undisputed WWE Champion questioned how he had secured the spot and even went so far as to refer to him as a “junkie.” Well, CM Punk has hit back!

CM Punk claims Drew McIntyre is envious of him

During a recent interview with TalkSport, The Second City Saint revealed that superstars need to continue talking about the top star to remain relevant. Furthermore, he added that the Undisputed WWE Champion is jealous of the World Heavyweight Champion since McIntyre never made it to the cover.

You know, it’s what everybody does. They got to talk about the cover athlete. They got to talk about the champ to stay relevant, to say anything interesting.

I mean, has Drew ever been on the cover? Okay, so maybe there’s a little bit of jealousy. There’s a little bit of envy there, you know? I don’t know what else to say beyond that.

If Drew was on the cover, we could do the 15 staples on the top of his head that I put in his head in Hell in the Cell. Maybe that’ll sell covers. I don’t know.

I don’t even think people in Scotland would buy it if Drew was on the cover. You know, he’s a Rangers fan. Yeah, says enough, right?
