Close Friends Of AJ Styles Believe He Will Wrestle Again
After 20+ years of wrestling, AJ Styles retired in 2026 as a member of WWE.
While he primarily competed as a singles wrestler, Styles was also a part of stables, including the Bullet Club (NJPW) and The O.C. (WWE).
On February 23, it was announced that he would join Stephanie McMahon in the company’s Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Several faces from Style’s past made an appearance on the show, including Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Amid speculations that he might join AEW, The Phenomenal One confirmed that he had signed with WWE in a role that would shape the company’s future talent.
The Good Brothers Claim AJ Styles Will Wrestle Again
Out of all the wrestlers AJ Styles has teamed up with, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, aka the Good Brothers, stand out in terms of the most time spent with him.
While The Phenomenal One has confirmed that he is officially done with wrestling, Gallows and Anderson said on the Busted Open Radio podcast that he might return after a couple of years.
I think he can sit it out for a couple of years,” Anderson said. “I think he’s able to fix the itch by helping people. He loves teaching. He loves helping the next generation. He loves helping younger wrestlers. He knows people look up to him. He knows how good he is. He knows how good that people think he is. I really believe that will satisfy the itch…until he can’t satisfy the itch anymore with it.
Gallows agreed with his tag partner, contradicting what he said during AJ Styles’ February 23 appearance on Raw.
AJ beat the house, but I would bet this beautiful house that I’m sitting in right now that he will be back. And I just see him coming back to the ring one way or another. There’s too much left in the tank. And the itch is real. [H/T: Wrestling Observer]
