Major Update On Chris Jericho’s WWE Return Rumours
Chris Jericho’s much-anticipated possible return to WWE could be delayed.
Rumour mills have been making noise for months, patching together possibilities for an in-ring return for WWE and AEW legend Chris Jericho.
Y2J’s AEW contract was thought to have expired on December 31st, 2025, making him a free agent. His return to WWE was heavily rumoured, especially for the Netflix anniversary special episode of Raw, where he was expected to show up.
This was after piecing together Easter eggs and tiny fragments of information, such as Raw GM Adam Pearce saying “The walls will break down” in a video about the Raw special, which potentially referenced Jericho’s “Break The Walls Down” Theme song, leading fans to speculate.
However, it was not to be for WWE fans, and the wait continues, as there’s still no confirmation about Jericho’s return. Nevertheless, a new crucial piece of information may hint at how possible his return to pro wrestling really looks.
Chris Jericho Will Tour With His Band Fozzy In February 2026.
For those unaware, Jericho is also the frontman of rock group Fozzy, who are actively touring at the moment.
Fozzy kicks off the Eyes On You tour in February 2026, with dates confirmed across the UK and other places. Jericho’s commitment to his band will be full-time when he’s on tour, and a WWE comeback looks unlikely and unrealistic with his hectic schedule.

Chris Jericho could still make an appearance on WWE’s Royal Rumble PLE in Riyadh on January 31st, but following up on it would be impossible due to his commitments with his band.
Jericho was last seen on AEW TV as the leader of the faction The Learning Tree before disbanding it and leaving in April 2025.
