Chelsea Green Finally Debunks Major Cody Rhodes Rumor

In a recent appearance on Cody Rhodes’ wife’s show, Chelsea Green clarifies some things about Cody Rhodes.

Chelsea Green is married to WWE star Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder), who works with her on the SmackDown brand. Cardona returned to WWE TV this January.

He and Green have been together for 9 years, and in a recent appearance on Brandi Rhodes’ YouTube show ‘A Shot of Brandi’, Chelsea clears some things about who actually set her up with her husband.

Green reveals that it was Brandi who introduced the couple to each other, and although Cody seemingly gets all the credit for introducing the two stars, Green says that is not the case, as he didn’t even know her at the time.

Chelsea: Let me go back. Cody did not set us up. Brandi set us up.

Brandi: It was a thousand percent me. Yes. He (Cody) was cheering it on.

Chelsea: But he didn’t even know me at the time. No, no. You knew me from being the locker room and training together. Yeah. And it was that simple. It literally was like this. (19:04 onwards)

Brandi goes on to detail how she showed photos of one to the other, and they both complimented each other’s looks and eventually got together.

Cody Rhodes Interrupts Chelsea Green Episode

In a hilarious bit during the same episode, Cody Rhodes can be heard talking off-camera to both Brandi and Chelsea as he interrupts their conversation to chime in on a recent incident that took place at the Fairmont hotel, where Green and her fellow female WWE stars were kicked out after the hotel management thought they were escorts.

Chelsea immediately jumps in to comedically say, “Bro, don’t steal my thunder! This is my time to shine!”

Cody Rhodes’ latest appearance was on Raw for a brief moment to honor AJ Styles. It remains to be seen what WWE has in store for him and Green in the build-up to WrestleMania 42.
