Chelsea Green wants to take up a new role in WWE.

Ava, The Rock’s daughter, recently announced her departure from WWE and NXT after stepping down as the NXT General Manager. Her final appearance took place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

According to reports, WWE offered her a contract extension with increased pay to remain in the NXT General Manager role after her contract expired, but she ultimately turned it down.

According to Dave Meltzer, Ava no longer wanted to continue in the same role and decided to move on from WWE to pursue other things. Following her departure from the Stamford-based company, Ava posted strong anti–ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and anti-administration messages on social media.

This led many to speculate that WWE’s close association with U.S. President Donald Trump may have played a role in her decision to part ways with the company, similar to WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley’s recent stance.

Chelsea Green Wants To Become The Next WWE NXT General Manager

After Ava stepped down from the NXT General Manager position and left WWE, Chelsea Green took to X/Twitter to express her interest in filling the vacant role. Green tweeted that since she already knows how to “run a continent,” a nod to her United States Championship run, she could easily run NXT as well.

Chelsea tweeted, “Hey @WWENXT I’ll be your new GM. I know a thing or two about running a continent… How hard can one little company be“
