Charlotte Flair Admits Discomfort With Saudi WWE Outfits

Charlotte Flair Crying WWE

Charlotte Flair lasted a long time in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, wearing a full-body suit.

Flair, who entered the gimmick match at #1, lasted a total of 59 minutes and 49 seconds in the ring, which was more than the entire men’s Royal Rumble Match, which went on for 56 minutes and 10 seconds.

She was eventually eliminated from the bout by a dominant Lash Legend.

Since the Royal Rumble PLE was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this year, the women’s roster faced restrictions on their in-ring attire due to the country’s laws. This meant they had to wear full-body suits to cover themselves from the neck down.

These wrestlers, habituated to wearing less modest attire while performing in the United States and other countries, found it difficult to navigate the ring and execute moves and spots in the bodysuits. Charlotte Flair was no exception.

Charlotte Flair Talks Wardrobe Issues In Riyadh With Nikki And Brie Bella

Speaking on the Nikki and Brie show, Charlotte Flair opened up about the outfits, detailing how hard it was to do things in the ring while fully covered in bodysuits.

Y’all, I’m going to be honest, it is not easy wrestling in those one-pieces.On Friday night, I had a different one on, and I had to – the hot tag, I had to climb up to do a crossbody, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t get my leg up’ because the pants were so tight! It was hard.

Brie Bella agreed with flair, sharing that her choice of big kneepads on top of the suit was a bad idea.

It almost stretched out my whole suit and then it felt baggy. But then I like was like, ‘Wait, it’s not going to split open, right?’ It was all weird

Charlotte Flair also said she got time to reflect on things during her time off due to injury, and has now learned how to be in the moment and give it her all.

But it goes by fast (the time). And I think being injured gave me, like, I never want to not be in the moment. Not that I ever was not like coasting or not, but being out there was like, ‘Oh, this could be taken away at any time.’ Even if I thought I was not giving it my all in the corner, I’m like, ‘No, give it your all. Eliminate this person.

Flair also talked about the difference between her two experiences in Riyadh with WWE.

I’d only been to Riyadh twice. So, to see, from like the first time I was there to see the difference of who was sitting around the ring, you saw so many more children this time around.
